With the launch of the new e-commerce solution, Vestas has taken a giant leap towards ensuring an even better experience for their customers. Customers can now quickly identify and order the right part. This helps minimize the cost of ownership and maximize the uptime of the turbines. 

Shop Vestas contains more than 25.000 parts, which makes it the biggest e-commerce platform for Vestas spare parts. Because flexibility is paramount for customers, Shop Vestas also includes a growing number of spare parts fit for wind turbines from GE, Siemens, Gamesa, and Suzlon.

Created on customers’ needs

Shop Vestas’ customers have different approaches and information at hand when searching for spare parts. Some know the specific part IDs by heart, while others might just know the type of part. With Shop Vestas, customers can search for either one, and the advanced filtration options make the search results clear and easy to decipher. If the customer has any doubts about the part he's found, sales support is easily available. 

The webshop also makes life a lot easier for customers by including line drawings, real photos, and illustrations like exploded drawings. With these, the customer can quickly see if the spare part matches the specific turbine model. Pricing information, alternative parts, and regional stock indication are also included. It is then up to the customer if they will need a quote on the order or are ready to proceed directly to ordering. 

Shop Vestas is optimized for all types of devices, and advanced user management means that customers are only shown the information they are entitled to.

Already a customer favourite

It hasn’t taken Vestas’ customers long to fall in love with Shop Vestas. They are buying everything from low-priced items to main components of more than a 100 000 EUR per unit. 

On average, the quarter on quarter number of orders through Shop Vestas has grown more than 20% following the launch, and some Sales Business Units have seen months with more than 85% of their total part sales transactions derived through Shop Vestas. 

With their new eCommerce solution, Vestas has taken a giant leap towards supplying leading digital services. The webshop is also available as part of the customer platform Vestas Online, which for a long time has had a proven effect on the loyalty of the customers. It appears Shop Vestas is only going to increase this loyalty.

A safe and scalable platform

Shop Vestas is built on the most recent version of the enterprise platform Episerver, which for three years in a row has been named leader in Gartners Magic Quadrant.   

Episerver has been integrated with the existing Vestas SAP-setup, from which the extensive product catalogue is drawn. It is a strong and stable platform that is infinitely scalable - way beyond the current six language versions. 

Shop Vestas uses Episerver’s advanced search technology, Episerver Find, which makes product searches extremely efficient. The Digital Experience Cloud from Episerver guarantees uptime - including 24-hour support, seven days a week.
