The website Stortinget.no came well and truly out on top when Farmandprisen for Best Website was awarded in Oslo on March 19th. Stortinget won the class for Public Services. Skatteetaten.no took the silver in the same class. Both the solution for Stortinget and Skatteetaten are developed by Creuna.
The jury had the following to say about Stortinget’s solution:
"This is a highly comprehensive website with an impressive scope and depth of information. Live sendings, a video archive, excellent division of topics and the opportunity provided to hear audios of texts show that the Norwegian National Assembly has – at least on the Internet – opened itself up to the people it is appointed to serve."
Farmandprisen (best annual report) was awarded for the first time in 1955, and has been given out every year since then. Farmandprisen “Best Website” is based on the same fundamental principles as the traditional Farmandprisen and has been awarded since 2006.
