One of Sweden's largest volunteer organizations is ready to take control of its digital communication. Creuna has been tasked with developing a new strategy for the Swedish Red Cross' digital presence.
The Swedish Red Cross has over 30,000 volunteers and is the largest aid organization in the country. With an old-fashioned website and no clear goals for its digital communication, a relaunch was required. Creuna has been tasked with developing a strategy and concept for the Red Cross' digital presence during 2010 and 2011.
"It's wonderful to be able to work with a customer that dares to take a broad view of digital opportunities," says Marcus Dennerstedt, Customer Manager at Creuna. "Digital media creates so many opportunities for developing and influencing the Red Cross' activities."
The strategy for the Red Cross' digital presence is based on the ways in which digital media can support the business and become a cohesive platform that provides services, distributes information, and conducts dialogs. With the website as the focal point of its digital presence, all channels should work in harmony, whether they are external or internal. This will make it easier for volunteers to get involved and for those in need to find help. The proposed measures include cost-effective solutions that save resources and make it easier to contribute.
Creuna began working with the Red Cross during the spring of 2010.
