Occupational pensions made simple on Alecta's new website

Alecta is one of Sweden's largest pension administrators, managing around SEK 470 billion in occupational pensions on behalf of Swedish people. Creuna was involved in developing Alecta's new website, which was aimed at making occupational pensions simpler and easier to understand.

Alecta hopes to meet its customers' needs better using simpler language, packaged information, videos, and a new function offering relevant information for private customers upon entering their social security number.

"Pensions are a headache for many people because they seem difficult and complicated," says Jelena Mirkovic, Alecta project manager, in a press release. "Alecta wants to change this. We want to enable both private and corporate customers to easily check up on pension issues, and have worked intensively to simplify the language and make retrieving information more interesting via video."

The new design is intended to have a safe, personalized feel. Digital communication agency Creuna is behind the design, concept, and technical implementation of the site.

"Our partnership with Creuna has been a huge success," Mirkovic says. "They quickly understood our business and what we want to communicate. Creuna delivered a creative, fully implementable idea that didn't just live up to our expectations: It exceeded them."

With 1.8 million private customers and 30,000 corporate customers, Alecta is the largest pension administrator in Scandinavia. In total, Alecta manages around SEK 470 billion on behalf of its customers.
