Gateway College offers college courses abroad for approximately 1000 students each semester. Its new website was launched on February 1. This also marked the launch of an updated visual profile for the company. The new site will improve communication with existing and potential students, and present a more accurate picture of what Gateway College is.
The website plays a key role in communication with new and existing students. It should be attractive to young people who desire an exciting and different kind of educational offer, yet simultaneously deliver the impression of a serious educational institution. ”We want to stand out, be playful and daring –without it lessening our academic legitimacy,” says Gateway College Marketing Director, Per Aspen.
Another important factor for Gateway College is that the new site will be easier to administer and easier to use. This will make operation more effective and also give existing and new students a positive and valuable user experience. ”Our goal is to offer students more services online, something that increases the level of service significantly,” Aspen points out. At the same time, the site will function as a meeting place for students, where openness, dialogue and integration will social media will be key elements.
In addition to developing the new website, Creuna also created a new visual profile and recruitment campaign for the Fall 2010 semester for Gateway College. The campaign goes on the air soon. ”We think this has been a very exciting and interesting task,” says Hilde Marken, consultant in Creuna. ”We are reaching out to a young target group that is active, advanced and discriminating as an online user group. This demands a lot in terms of form, structure and content.”
According to Gateway College, Creuna was chosen for the job because of its broad experience and background in branding and development of digital communications solutions. ”It is intended that this be the first phase of a long-term cooperation,” says Per Aspen.
