Gulltaggen is Europe’s largest event for interactive marketing and awards good, creative Internet solutions. The Interest Organisation for Interactive Marketing (INMA) is behind the event. In this year’s awards ceremony, first-prize gold in the “Best large website” category went to Trafikanten and Creuna for the new trafikanten.no. Creuna was behind the strategy, concept, graphic design and interaction, while EDB Consulting handled the technical development and Geodata provided the map solution.
The jury’s rationale:
“The winner of this year’s Gulltaggen for large website was in a special class, clearly the best in innovation, craftsmanship and branding. The Jury very much liked the way the website has used a typical application approach. We will be seeing more of this in the future. Furthermore, the Jury was impressed with the site’s ability to prioritise content and stick to what is most crucial. Good functions such as Will I make it?, My favorites and Traffic status enhance the user experience. The winner gave the Jury a sense of being picked up right on time and never dropped off.”
“The main objective of the new trafikanten.no was to make it easier for people to plan their public transport trips”, says Hans Haugli, senior designer at Creuna. “It should be easier to find the best routes, get updated traffic flow reports, departure times in real time and other useful information. The prize is a confirmation that we have succeeded, and a great inspiration to us going forward.”
Trafikanten and Creuna have garnered several prizes for trafikanten.no, including the Rosing Prize, the Norwegian Design Council’s Award for Design Excellence and the Farmand Prize. The following people comprise the Creuna team: Han Haugli (art director/lead designer), Yonas Sandbæk (front-end developer), Tord Heyerdahl (interaction designer) and Silje Storhaug (project manager).
