Norra Djurgårdsstaden is one of Stockholm’s most exciting developing areas. The new district was inaugurated with royal radiance in the beginning of February, but for Creuna the task of digitally presenting the district started way earlier.
Norra Djurgårdsstaden runs from Husarviken in the north, over Frihamnen and Värtahamnen, to Loudden in the south. There are 10 000 new housings and 30 000 jobs planned in the area, to be ready in 2025. This is one of Europe’s largest city development projects and has a strong environmental profile.
To give an overview of the new town district – both its development and its history – Creuna has been assigned to make a digital visualization. The solution is based on a map with a number of ”hot spots” – markings that contains information of different categories. The user can choose to zoom in on one area, filter the information in different categories and receive news and other information. The solution is based on flash and EpiServer and can be updated by editors during the development of the project.
