ON-SPORT is the online tv channel that brings sport enthusiasts closer to Danish athletes and their top performances. Behind the initiative is Team Denmark, The Danish Sports Federation and 60 specialized federations, representing a wide range of sports in Denmark.
The challenge
Many athletes live a quiet media life. The big broadcasting companies mainly cover a few popular sports, while smaller sports get little or no media coverage. This is an unfortunate fact that Team Denmark, The Danish Sports Federation and 60 specialized federations have decided to act upon. Their wish is to bring focus on smaller sports - especially the European and World Championships of these - and online television has been an obvious choice of media.
The solution
Creuna has launched ON-SPORT - an online tv channel targetting all sport enthusiasts – with tv features and news stories on every discipline in Danish elite sports.
ON-SPORT is a user friendly solution based on the video content management system 23 Video. A well-functioning search feature makes it easy to search between different sports, federations and athlete names. This is a way of giving all sport enthusiasts a full athletic overview, regardless of interest.
Creuna focused on the presence and versatility of sport, when creating the name, identity and design for ON-SPORT. This is why ‘ON-SPORT’ is the only permanent feature on the site, while the pay-off “You’re in the moment/hall/grass/water” and background is customized to the sport in question.
The results
In the end, the initiators have gained the perfect platform for promoting Danish sports and athletes while supplying thousands of sport enthusiasts with versatile Danish sports coverage.
