Gateway College

Gateway College offers Norwegian university studies abroad. School was established in 1993, and currently has about 1000 students each semester in seven different campuses around the world. Gateway College offers the opportunity to combine the Norwegian university studies in foreign and exciting cultures.

The challenge

The new site needed to improve Gateway College’s communication with existing and potential students and provide a more accurate picture of the college. Gateway College wanted to double its number of students within two years, without increasing administration costs, by simplifying communication with potential and existing students / customers. The site should stand out from competitors and provide a clear picture of who the Gateway College is and what services they offer.

The solution

Creuna developed a new website and new profile of Gateway College. The new website was designed to be attractive to young people who seek an exciting and unusual study experience, for whom Gateway College will be serious study option. The School wanted to stand out compared to the traditional colleges, presented as a somewhat playful and daring alternative, while remaining credible as a serious academic institution.

We designed the site to appeal to a young audience (18-25 years) who are active, sophisticated and discerning users. This places high demands on the visual idiom, which has to work on all digital platforms, from websites to campaign solutions and social media. We also took into account that the site would serve as a meeting place, by integrating it with social media. Students fill the website with content, in the form of pictures and blogs from their study tours.

This site expresses the diversity of the Gateway’s offer: studies and sites that complement each other, town and beach, studies and meaningful leisure time. This duality is also represented in the visual expression, through the two strong primary colors and the way we use images / surfaces with trays constantly urge to explore further and shows two sides of same coin. They folded the sheets that make up the graphic typography reminiscent of both the notepaper and to extract an experience.  "My page" digital application and integration with CRM system are key features to simplify the management of the students before departure and during your stay.

The results

The new website launched on February 1st. It also marked the launch of an updated visual profile of the company. The new site will improve communication with existing and potential students and provide a more accurate picture of who the Gateway College.
