Trumf is a customer loyalty program started by Norway's largest staple goods concern. By making purchases at the company’s physical stores customers can now earn Trumf points, which, until now, could be redeemed to buy non-food items in an online store reserved for members.
The Challenge
Trumf sought to expand and renew its business opportunities by offering online sales to all potential customers, regardless of membership in its new virtual store, while keeping the option of earning Trumf points through shopping.
The Solution
The solution consisted of the Flust.no online store, in which Creuna served as the total supplier by providing everything from consulting, concept development and design, to the technical implementation of EPiServer, Microsoft Commerce Server and more. The solution is capable of operating independently of the ERP system, which means that if the latter is out of operation, transactions can be made without the loss of data or revenue.
Creuna also assisted and advised in mapping out and streamlining heavy work processes through an optimized workflow, rendering the solution easy and efficient to administer for Trumf. The migration from the old to new technical platform required substantial security insight and capabilities, so that the customers' millions of Trumf points could be transferred without the loss of data.
The Results
The solution has provided Trumf with a number of advantages and new opportunities:
- a reliable solution with “digital back-up system” if the ERP system is out of service
- streamlined work processes means fewer operational costs
- improved foundation for growth in e-commerce and the opportunity of capturing new market shares
- easier and more user-friendly in administering points and purchasing products
